Jody, a Connecticut native, found her passion for the outdoors early on. What began as a small-scaled hobby blossomed into a full-fledged farming journey.
In 2019, she & her husband, Troy took a leap of faith and purchased their own 52 acre farm, embarking on a mission to cultivate and provide fresh, seasonal produce to their community and local markets.
With four high tunnels on her farm, Jody's commitment to regenerative farming techniques shines through, as she nurtures the earth while reaping its bounties.
Her farm not only yields a vibrant array of flowers & heirloom vegetables but also embraces the rearing of heritage meats, honoring the traditions & flavors of the past, and introducing them to the future.
Through her efforts, Jody continues to inspire others to connect with the land, fostering a healthier & more mindful way of living.
Laura founded Front Yard Foods in 2022 and has been helping clients develop uniquely designed gardens and edible landscapes. Laura’s passion for food first sprouted when she built her first garden with her grandfather at the age of 12.
Originally from Georgia, Laura fell in love with the Greenville community in 1997, as a freshman at Furman University. After graduation, Laura spent time doing graduate work in Tuscany, Italy where she learned what it really meant to eat locally and seasonally.
That passion for food led Laura’s work in a variety of local restaurants and then eventually to manage a local garden center for several years. These experiences enabled her to understand food from both the culinary and farming side. This extensive education, as both a gardener and restaurateur, has solidified Laura’s mission to teach people how to grow their own food, as well as, how to get it on their table.
Food, farming and community are of the greatest importance to Laura. Through Front Yard Foods, Laura hopes to inspire others to find their own connection to the earth and its value. Laura uses custom designs, individualized consultation and personalized education to build the confidence of each client and equip them with knowledge to accomplish their unique goals.
